The Team

The Oxford Clock Company was founded by Jeremy Barrow in the late 90’s. Although horology was always a passion of Jeremy’s since childhood, it was not until he studied horology fulltime at the International West Dean College for two years that he was able to start the company. During those two years in addition to spending 6 weeks at the British Museum on an Internment, he visited most of the major collections in the UK, and Paris as well as the USA and the State Hermitage in St Petersburg.

Jeremy is a member of the British Horological Institute and The Worshipfull Company of Clockmakers founded in 1631.

At the Oxford Clock Company he still works closely with colleagues from West Dean including Joseph Schoonhoven, Peter Linstead-Smith and Jamie Chatfield, furniture conservator.

Jeremy was also part of a team commissioned to make a unique clock for the Queen to celebrate her Golden Jubilee.
